Human Factors & Ergonomics Program Application Process

The application process takes two parallel. Our Human Factors Graduate program has an admissions committee that reviews students for the program.

The University admission committee processes applications at the same time as the Human Factors and Ergonomics program. That is why there are two different deadlines. The HF/E committee will be reviewing students for appropriateness for the program at the same time that Admissions and Records processes your paper work.

The process is a lengthy one and we will do what we can to assist you, but most delays occur because of mistakes that could be avoided.

Please read and follow the instructions below completely.

Send to Graduate Admissions Office:
(Admissions and Records,
address as below extended zip 0009)
Send to Dr. Kevin Corker:

2. Original Admission form 2. Three letters of recommendation
3. Check or money order for $55.00 3. A one page letter of intent outlining your interest and plans in attending the HF/E Graduate Program.
4. Original GRE certificate (Must be completed during 1st year or before) 4. DO NOT send fees here

How to apply on-line:

This on-line application applies to the Graduate Admissions portion of the process. The HFE program committee still requires a separate and parallel package of information.

1.  Submit a completed application online by going directly to: http://www.csumentor.edu/AdmissionApp/grad_apply.asp. Or going to http://www.csumentor.edu/Support/tech_support.asp#application and selecting a printable form. The California State University Application is the same for all applicants.
2.  You will have to submit official transcripts to San Jose State University and this is explained in the graduate information.
3.

Send check (as indicated in the application instructions) to the SJSU Admissions and Records.

4.  You must remember that the on-line version will not go forward if you have done something wrong, so you may have to go back over what you have done several times.
5.

You can email the HF/E department or call to receive further assistance.

Good luck!
