    A long, long time ago, when you heard the word “engineer,” you might have thought of a train engineer. You know, the rotund guy with blue striped overalls and matching cap.

    Well, the engineers that are attending SJSU’s Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering are a new generation. In fact, they’re several generations removed from the engineers of yore, and they’ve traded in the overalls for clean room suits, safety glasses and supercomputers.
