A long, long time ago, when you heard the word “engineer,” you might have thought of a train engineer. You know, the rotund guy with blue striped overalls and matching cap.

Well, the engineers that are attending SJSU’s Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering are a new generation. In fact, they’re several generations removed from the engineers of yore, and they’ve traded in the overalls for clean room suits, safety glasses and supercomputers.

On Saturday, April 4, the SJSU Davidson College of Engineering played host to 800 admitted students and parents for SJSU's Admitted Spartan Day.

Bold, bright and welcoming, the Engineering Student Success Center offers many important services which are essential to helping a student succeed from first year to graduation. The Center's grand opening was held on Thursday, April 2.

Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-San Jose) visited San Jose State University on Thursday, February 19 and dropped in to see the Davidson College of Engineering's Materials Characterization and Metrology Center, otherwise known as MC2.
